He studied Educational Ministries at The Moody Bible Institute in Chicago where he met his wife, Myl. Following college, he developed a passion for apologetics while they worked as church planters in Montenegro (former Yugoslavia). Sensing the need for the next generation to understand how to give a defense for their faith, he went on to be a youth pastor in his native state of Oregon for 6 years. In December of 2022, he received his Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
