The Book of Hebrews: Part IV

The Word of God is Living and Active (Hebrews 4:12). It always accomplishes God's purposes (Isaiah 55:1). God's Word sanctifies us (John 17:17) and it is the weapon God has given us against any of the devil's attacks (Ephesians 6:17). His Word reveals what is inside our hearts and is the tool of the Holy Spirit to convict us of sin (Hebrews 4:12-13). Simply put, God's word is powerful and absolutely vital in a Believer's life. We cannot afford to go without it, and consuming it daily will keep us from becoming an easy prey to false teachers and their doctrines. One of the best ways of enjoying God's word is through meditation. Although more commonly associated with other Eastern religions, meditation on God's word has been promoted by God's people for thousands of years. Listen to this sermon to learn practical tips on how to meditate on Scripture.
